Obituary

Zebulan Luther Tune, 43, Minot, passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 2026.

Zeb was born on October 30, 1982, in Hermann, Missouri. He was raised in Piedmont, Missouri, by his mother and spent his summers in Gasconade, Missouri, with his father and brother, experiences that helped shape the man he would become.

He graduated from Clearwater High School and proudly joined the United States Air Force right after in 2001. During his years of service, Zeb was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, and Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota. He served his country for 11 years.

While stationed in Okinawa, he met and fell in love with Arrin Gunn. Zeb would soon become a bonus dad to her son, Justin. They would later marry and have a daughter together, Emmalee. During his time in Okinawa, he could often be found tinkering on cars at the Hobby Shop, drifting, or spending time with friends at Western World. Arrin and Zeb later divorced in 2011 but remained close while raising their daughter together.

Following his military service, Zeb chose to make Minot, North Dakota, his home. After settling in Minot, he rediscovered his passion for motorcycles and the freedom of the open road. That passion eventually led him to prospect for the New Horizon Motorcycle Club in 2014. Becoming a full member in 2015. With them, he found not only camaraderie but brotherhood and another opportunity to give back to his community and those around him. He was known for being full of life, quick to lend a hand, and always willing to help those around him. He would never miss an opportunity to ride his Harley-Davidson Limited (Dumbo) whenever and wherever he could.

In 2015, he met Mindy at Magic City Harley Davidson in Minot, ND. While they never married, Zeb and Mindy spent the last 10 years together. Together, they built a home, which included multiple bikes, multiple dogs, and many memories to share. He also became a bonus dad to her two children, Teagan and Anna.

Above all else, Zeb loved being a father. Not only to Emmalee, his pride and joy, but also to his three bonus children, Justin, Teagan and Anna. If you were lucky enough to know Zeb, you know that he considered you family, even if you had only known him for a short time. He loved to tell stories of his adventure around the world. He enjoyed spending his free time surrounded by good people, good conversation and a good drink.

Zeb was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Kathy (Ward) Tune, and his brother, Leslie.

He leaves behind his daughter, Emmalee Tune (Arrin Gunn); His partner of ten years, Mindy Vandemark; Mindy's two children, Teagan and Anna; His Uncle Larry (Keva) Tune; Several cousins; Along with countless friends, fellow service members, and members of the riding community who were fortunate enough to know him.

Those who knew Zeb will remember his generous spirit, his willingness to help others, and the friendships he built throughout his life. While he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the lives he touched will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Zeb’s Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, in the Exhibition Room of the Clarion Hotel, Minot.
