Yvonne was born November 27, 1925 near Hatton, ND to George and Elvina (Johnson) Kling. As a young child, she lived in Dodge and Finley, ND with her family until moving to Cando. Yvonne graduated from Cando High School in 1943. She continued her education at Interstate Business College in Fargo and secured a job at the Fargo Foundry following the completion of her schooling. She held that position for seven years.
Yvonne was united in marriage to Maurice Isaacson on September 8, 1946 in Cando. They lived in Fargo, while she worked and Maurice attended North Dakota State University. They followed Maurice's career in civil engineering to Minot in 1951.
Yvonne was a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Minot. She served the congregation as a Sunday school teacher, member of Naomi Circle and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Yvonne became an active member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) in conjunction with her husband's career at the Minot Air Force Base.
Yvonne was an avid reader, especially Lauraine Snelling books and had the pleasure of meeting her in person at the Norsk Hostfest. She enjoyed classical music, especially Minot Symphony concerts. Yvonne did some traveling during her active years, twice to Scandinavia and two cruises. Yvonne was a staple of the Norsk Hostfest, enjoying everything about her Scandinavian heritage. She also volunteered at the Norsk Hostfest office. She will be missed by all who were blessed to be part of her life.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Minot Health and Rehab for the care provided to Yvonne.
