William C. "Bill" Myers , 86, Minot, died Saturday, October 08, 2016, in a Minot hospital.

Bill was born August 26, 1930, in Minot the son of Harvey Ray and Estella (Benton) Myers. He was raised on the family farm south of Berthold and was educated at country schools in the area until he attended Nedrose School east of Minot.

Bill was united in marriage to Vivian Demaree on September 7, 1950 at Minot. They made their home on a farm south of Berthold for several years, where they farmed and ranched along with raising Arabian horses. They have made their home in the Minot area since 1958. Bill operated the NAPA Auto Parts Store in Minot from 1981 until 2001.

Bill was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church, Minot, where he served on the Church Board. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering with old machinery.

His loving family includes : children, W. Darroll (Joan) Myers, Ray, ND, Dallas (Linda) Myers, Minot, Dwight Myers, Kallispell, MT, Dean (Cathie) Myers, Atlanta, GA, Dale (Jodi) Myers, Minot, Darcy (Kari) Myers, Surrey, Darin (Carmen) Myers, Surrey and DeeAnn (Charles) Schmidt, Surrey; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Mabel Albertson, Surrey, Benton (Darlene) Myers, Minot and Berthold, Ruth Borgen, EauClaire, WI, Harrison (Joan) Myers, Tagus, Andy Gunderson, Berthold, Donald "Dutch" (Maxine) Myers, RR Minot, Ruby (Loren) Podruchny, Tacoma, WA, Marlin "Slim" (June) Myers, Berthold and Lowell (Betty) Myers, Carpio; sister-in-law, Vicky Myers, Velva; honorary sons, Bryan Fluhrer and Lee Griffin and numerous nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vivian; brothers, Rolland, Alvin, Lehman and Raymond; sister, Jeannette Gunderson; brothers-in-law, George Borgen and Gaillord Albertson; sisters-in-law, Donna Rae and Doris and daughter-in-law, Linda Myers.

Funeral service : Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in First Assembly of God Church, Minot.
Interment : Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold
Visitation: Wednesday, October 12th from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
