Wesley "Wes" Peter Satran Obituary, 76, Deering, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Wes was born September 10, 1938 at Powers Lake, North Dakota the son of Peter and Ethel (Slaamod) Satran. He was raised and educated at Tolley and Mohall, graduating from Mohall High School in 1956. He attended Minot Business College for two years. He was united in marriage to Joyce Schoenberg on May 17, 1957 at Velva.
Throughout the years, Wes was employed by Western Hotels Industries as supervisor/manager at missile sites near Kenmare, ND. They moved to Washington, where he was employed with Boeing for several years as a supervisor. They moved to Wyoming, where he was employed by Utah International as a superintendant for five years. They returned to Minot in 1974, where he worked for Minot Lumber and Hardware, Hovde Salvage, along with he and Joyce refurbishing mobile homes from 1985-1990. In 1990, he became employed with Countryside Homes, where he worked until retiring in 2001. Joyce died May 5, 2001. Wes married Helen (Due) Petersen on September 20, 2003. Wes maintained part time work locally after retiring with Vehicle Liquidators, Kum & Go and PTI.
Wes was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot. He was a former member of the Minot Eagles Aerie, Minot American Legion and Minot Moose Lodge. He enjoyed camping, boating, car collecting and going for drives with his dog and riding companion, Athena.
Wes' loving family includes, wife, Helen Satran; children, Lonn (Candy) Satran) Minot, Theresa Olson, Fargo, Lori Satran, Fargo and Tammy (Sam) Aragan, Idaho Springs, CO; step children: Terri (Tom) Morgel, Portal, ND, Tami Petersen, Minot, Gregory (Becky) Lashman, Minot and Renae (Jeremy) O'Neill, Minot; 7 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren; brother, Winston (Barb) Satran, Bismarck, ND
Wes was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joyce.
Funeral service
: Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.

Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot
Visitation:
Sunday from Noon - 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
