Wayne Anderson, 79, Minot and formerly of Butte died on July 13, 2019 at his home.

Wayne Lee Anderson was born on March 25, 1940 in Turtle Lake, ND to Andrew and Helen (Boyko) Anderson.  He was raised on a farm in Arena Township of McLean County near Butte and attended a country school. After his father died in 1954, Wayne discontinued his formal schooling to help care for his mother, 3-year-old sister alongside his older brother Marvin to carry on the Anderson family farm. Wayne farmed and ranched until he retired in 1997 when he moved to Minot where he spent his time enjoying outdoor activities, finding deals at the Northern auction, volunteering, and spending time with his family.

Wayne was an avid car and tractor enthusiast who loved to laugh and socialize. He was very kind, patient and compassionate and would help anyone in need. One of Wayne's proudest moments was when he became "Papa" to his beautiful granddaughters.

Wayne is survived by his children: Tyler (Vanessa) Clark; of Minot and Katina (Chris) Carter of Penn Valley CA; granddaughters: Brielle & Savvy Clark; Minot; brother: Marvin (Carole) Anderson of Minot; brother-in-law: Jim Norlin (Kelly Sundsbak) of Des Lacs; nieces and nephews: Terry (Dorothy) Anderson, Lori (Ron) Thom, Melissa (Jami) Houston, Kirk Norlin (Diana Preston), Karna (Carlan) Taft, Justin Norlin, Brandyn Norlin and Lance (Brooke) Norlin; numerous great nieces and great nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Linda Norlin.

Celebration of the Life of Wayne Anderson: Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Seventh day Adventist Church - Minot.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park.
Visitation: Tuesday July 23, 2019 from noon until 3:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
