Warren Orville Jenneman, 90, Minot, former longtime Burt Township farmer, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, September 5, 2011 in a Minot Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Warren was born December 20, 1920 in Monroe, SD, the son of Charles and Anna (Ortman) Jenneman. He was raised and educated in Marion, SD and graduated from high school there in 1940. He assisted with the operation of the family farmstead in SD during his younger years.
Warren was united in marriage to Phyllis Schultz on June 10, 1944 in Max, ND. They lived in South Dakota for five years, before moving to a farm in Burt Township of Ward County in 1949, where along with raising their three daughters, they had dairy cattle, beef cattle, pigs and grew small grains. He retired from farming at the age of 78 and then moved into Minot in 2002.
Warren was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot, where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the local Farmer's Union, Burt Township Board and served as a Weed Control Supervisor for Burt Township. He loved to travel and his favorite trip was to the Holy Lands. He loved all traditional Christian music.
Warren is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis of Minot; daughter, Elvira Ryan, Sweethome, OR, Gloria (Roy) Robison, Surprise, AZ and Cindy (Marvin) Mertz, Minot. He had 6 grandchildren: LeAnna, Lora, David, Steven, Mandy & Cole; 15 Great-Grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Luke, great-grandson, Michael, sister, Gladys Wentzel, brother-in-law, Robert Wentzel and son-in-law, George (Ike) Ryan.
Funeral service
: Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot.
Interment
: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation:
Thursday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Our Redeemer's Church or an organization of the donor's choice.
