Walter S. Kraft, 82, Minot, formerly of Rolette, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his home.

Walter was born March 7, 1930 at Rolette, North Dakota the son of Alex and Rose (Ripplinger) Kraft. He was raised on the family farm near Rolette and educated there.

Walter was united in marriage to May Beaver on November 21, 1950 at Rolette. They made their home there for several years, before moving to Minot.

Walter was employed with Westlie Motor Company as a mechanic for more than twenty-five years. He had also most recently been employed by Huwe House Movers as a mechanic doing maintenance on many of their vehicles until ill-health forced him to retire in 2010.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, May; six children and seven grandchildren, including locally, daughter, Bonnie Kraft, Minot; and a granddaughter that he raised, Amanda Kraft.

At Walter's request, a private graveside service was held in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
