Vivian Roy, 68, Minot, died Monday, July 21, 2014, in a Minot hospital.

Vivian was born August 13, 1945, the fourth of thirteen children to parents, John and Dorothy (Rardon) Roy. She was raised and educated Rolla, St. John and Towner, until her family settled to Minot.

Vivian's working years were spent in the community of Minot in service to others. She was employed at Minot Dental Lab, Friendly Tavern, Eddy's Lounge and Arny's Lounge and most recently at Miracle Mart in the deli department, until her retirement.

Vivian was blessed to give birth to a daughter, Jodi during her life. Soon grandchildren and great-grandchildren were added to her family. Together, they enjoyed camping at Wolf Creek on Lake Sakakawea and over the years were the lucky recipients of her homemade cooking. Vivian loved animals and was known to bring a few home or share them with her large family. Bingo was her game of choice and she was considered 'lucky' by family and friends.

Vivian was a loving and generous person for her entire life. She cared for her mother in her final stages of life, always placing others needs before her own. She will be missed by all who shared in her life, but now is enjoying heaven with the ones she loved along the way.

Vivian's loving family includes, daughter, Jodi Blake, Minot, grandchildren, Brandi Jo Bristow, Cheyenne, WY, Chantell (James) Sparks and Robert (Ashley) Blake Jr., both of Minot; great-grandchildren, Myah Lynn, Rae Anna, Daniel Bristow and Aiden and Rory Blake; sisters, Betty (Ernest) Mock, Minnie (Eddie) Krueger, Peggy (Russell) Krall, Patsy (Bruce) Haugeberg, Hazel (Jeff) Bower, Marjorie (Tim) Eizenzimmer, Pam (Calvin) Arndt, all of Minot and Faye (Robert) McNamara, Kauai, Hawaii; brothers, Reverend John (Margery) Roy, Ishpeming, MI, Mackey (Janell) Roy, Minot and Duane Roy, Mandan, ND.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jimmy, Michael and Joseph Roy and her favorite son-in-law, Robert Blake Sr.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at First Assembly of God, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Friday, July 25, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred.
