Vivian R. Myers , 79, rural Minot, formerly of Berthold, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 in a Minot hospital.

Vivian was born February 22, 1934 at Minot, North Dakota the daughter of J.H. "Hub" and Violet (Olson) Demaree. She was raised on a farm south of Des Lacs, where she attended country schools and Minot High School.

Vivian was united in marriage to William "Bill" Myers on September 7, 1950 at Minot. They made their home on a farm south of Berthold for several years, where they farmed and raised horses. They have made their home in the Minot area since 1958. They operated the NAPA Auto Parts store in Minot from 1981 until 2001.

Vivian was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church, Minot and had previously attended First Church of the Nazarene, Minot. She was well known in the area for raising Arabian horses. She loved to garden and collect antiques.

Her loving family includes, husband of 62 years, Bill; children, W. Darroll (Joan) Myers, Ray, ND, Dallas (Linda) Myers, Minot, Dwight Myers, Kallispell, MT, Dean (Cathie) Myers, Atlanta, GA, Dale (Jodi) Myers, Minot, Darcy (Kari) Myers, Surrey, Darin (Carmen) Myers, Surrey and DeeAnn (Charles) Schmidt, Surrey; 24 Grandchildren; 40 Great-Grandchildren and their respective spouses.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and daughter in law, Linda Myers.

Interment: Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold
Visitation: Monday, September 2, 2013 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
