Vivian Constance Barber , 68, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Minot, passed away May 23, 2015 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Vivian was born in Duluth, Minnesota to William and Constance Oseles on November 9th, 1946. She attended Minot High School and graduated in 1964. She attended Trinity Nursing School and worked in the healthcare industry until she pursued a career in social work, where she enjoyed helping multiple families and children.
Vivian enjoyed quilting and sewing throughout her life, and spending time with her family.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Grant Barber Senior, Children: Angela (Carl) Wirth, Wichita Falls, TX, Dawn (James) Hicks, Canyon Lake, TX, Constance Scott, Needville, TX, Wayne (Allison) Scott, Lake Dallas, TX, and Beth (Robert) Olinger, Des Moines, IA; Brothers: William (Sarah) Oseles, El Paso, TX, Robert (Lisa) Oseles, Redwood NY, Richard (Sydney) Oseles, Minot ND, Ronald (Dee) Oseles, Fargo, ND; brother-in-law, Michael Ward, Minot, ND; sister, Christine (Doug) Hinkle, Apollo, PA; seven grandchildren: Jessica Evans, Victor Acevedo, Wesley Scott, Zachary Acevedo, William Scott, Kayla Scott and DJ Hicks; great-grandson, Ashten Evans and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents: William and Constance Oseles, sister, Joan Ward, niece, Michelle Ward, grandson, Logan Hicks and great-grandson, Andrew Evans.
Funeral service: Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 1000 3rd St NE, Minot, ND.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Funeral Home, 304 S. Main, Minot, ND.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to the family.
