Obituary

On January 23, 2023, Virginia Ann (Brunner) Weber's angel guided her home to meet her Lord and Savior.

Virginia was born January 22, 1939, to Edward and Fern (Tyson) Brunner at the Tyson family farm in Bergen ND, her grandmother Marie Tyson helped bring her into the world. Virginia was raised in Minot ND. As a toddler she contracted scarlet fever, which led to her severe hearing loss.

In her early years she attended the North Dakota School for the Deaf in Devils Lake ND, in the sixth grade she transferred to Roosevelt Elementary School, she graduated from St Leo's High school in 1958, as class valedictorian.

She attended Beauty School in Bismarck, ND, upon graduation, she returned to Minot, ND, initially working at Lydia's Salon, then at Goldie's Salon.

On October 03, 1959 she was united in marriage to Thomas Moses Copeland, from this short marriage two beautiful daughters, Donna Ann and Mary Louise, were born. On September 20, 1976 she was united in marriage to Robert Charles Weber. She lost him in a hunting accident on November 12, 1977.

In 2004, after 30+ years of service in housekeeping she retired from St Joseph's/Trinity Hospital. Shortly after retirement she moved to Jay, NY, then Keene Valley, NY, to be near her daughter Donna and young granddaughters Amy, Sarah, Claire, and Adele.

While in New York she was active in the Golden Peak's Senior Group, serving as treasurer, and osteo exercise class leader, she also enjoyed the numerous excursions to various locations taken by the group.

In 2017, she returned to Minot and lived with her daughter Mary, until her passing.

Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and the outdoors.

Virginia is survived by her daughters Donna (Wayne) Ignatuk, Mary Copeland, granddaughters Amy, Sarah, Claire Ignatuk, and Adele (Ugo) Okolie, sisters Connie Dial, Susan Embrich, Kathy (Rick) Johnson, Marietta Zearley, Linda Miller, sister-in-law Bonnie Brunner, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Robert Weber, her parents Ed and Fern Brunner, sister Rose May Brunner, brother Michale Brunner, sister and brother-in-law Cec and Mike Nilson, brother-in-law Ron Dial, father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Myrtle Weber, and brother-in-law Lawrence Weber.

Graveside Service with Recitation of Holy Rosary: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023 in section 21 of Rosehill Memorial Park.
