Vernon Day, 90, of Fargo, died Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Trinity Hospital, Minot.

Vernon was born on February 8, 1935, the son of George and Irene (Hill) Day in Minot, ND.  He was raised on the family farm near Max. Vernon enlisted in the United States Army in 1957 and was honorably discharged in April 1959.

Vernon was an over-the-road trucker for many years and liked to tell stories of the places he traveled. He retired at the age of 84.

Vernon's loving family includes his son, Gregory Day, Nebraska, daughters Shelly (Greg) Werlinger, Minot, ND, Candice Shanaver, Henning, MN, Terri (Brad) Harrington Minot, ND and Wendy (Troy) Sauber, Minot, ND, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, niece Kristi Haucek and nephew Randy Day of Kansas City, MO.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carmen Fedorenko, and brother Pat.
