Timothy Kent “Tim” Schmidt, age 41, passed away on April 5, 2026, at his home in Minot, North Dakota.

Tim was born on September 6, 1984, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, to Lori (Landkammer) Schmidt and Kent Schmidt. He grew up in Eden Prairie and graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 2003.

Tim proudly served in the United States Air Force from 2011 to 2017, a chapter of his life he held in high regard. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed staying engaged in politics and computer gaming.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eldwin Schmidt; his grandparents, Willie and Emilie Landkammer; his uncles Jim, Joe, Robert, and Jon Landkammer; and his aunts Judy Kadlec, Patty Bigaouette, and Debbie Landkammer.

Tim is survived by his father, Kent Schmidt (Ann Miller) of Winthrop, MN; his mother, Lori Schmidt (Rick Reininger) of Eden Prairie, MN; his sister, Heather Schmidt (Ben Walker) of Minneapolis, MN; his niece Evangeline Hudalla of Minneapolis, MN; his grandmother Lois Schmidt of Winthrop, MN along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Details regarding a celebration of life and burial will be shared at a later date

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered, now at peace in God’s loving arms.
