Thomas C. "Tom" Enney , 56, Burlington, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 in a Grand Forks Hospital .
Tom was born October 25, 1953 at Minot, North Dakota, the son of Winslow "Red" and Edith (Humbert) Enney. He was raised and educated in Minot and was active with the Rodeo during his younger years. He was recognized as the North Dakota Rodeo Association (NDRA) Steer Wrestling Champion in 1974.
Tom fell in love with and was united in marriage to Marie Grady on January 31, 1976 at Minot.They were blessed with three wonderful children, and made their home in Burlington throughout the years. Tom was employed in Welding, Water-Well Drilling and most recently with the Bus-line Transportation service.
Tom was a very loving, kind-hearted man who had numerous friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially fishing, playing poker and golf, hunting, and barbequing with family. He spent a lifetime of putting smiles on people's faces. He would generally go out of his way to give anyone a helping hand. He will be mostly remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His loving family includes , wife, of thirty-four years, Marie;daughter, Catherine (Kyle) Pelton, Burlington, sons, Justin (Cami)Enney, Dickinson, Zane (Jessica Bruce) Enney, Burlington; 6 Grandchildren, Trey, Hailey, Kate, Connor, Ethan and Ivy; Brothers, Bob (Barbara) Enney, Burlington, ND and Ken (Patricia) Enney, San Jose, CA; several nieces nephews and cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard and William.
Memorial service:
Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in First Lutheran Church, Minot.
Visitation
: Monday from 1:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
