Obituary

Sue Stewart , 90, Minot, formerly of Parshall, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Somerset Court.

Susan Harriet Hoffman was born on July 16, 1931, in Sterling, IL to John and Louise (Foulds) Hoffman. She graduated from Sterling High School.

She then moved to Long Beach, CA and worked for the McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company.  It was in Long Beach that she would meet her husband of 58 years, Harold Stewart, then a LTJG in the US Navy.  After completing Dental School in Louisville, KY they would make their home in Parshall, ND, in 1956, where they raised their family and lived for 38 years.  Upon retirement in 1994, they moved to Minot where she had since lived.

Sue was an active member of the Bethany Lutheran Church of Minot. She loved God, and her greatest joy in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She had many dear friends.  Her hobbies and special interests included golf, bridge, bowling, baking, quilting, puzzles, reading, travel and volunteering at the Hostfest.

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband H.D. (2014), sister Jean, brother Tom and daughter-in-law, Kathy.  Sue's loving family includes her four children: John (Jodi) Stewart and their daughter, Olivia; Dave (Heather) Stewart and his children, Michele (Matt) Conley, Kristina (Blair) Brennan, Shannon Stewart; Lynn (Bobby) Sturgell and their son, Ben; Peter (Julie) Stewart and their children, Hannah (Garret) Jansen, Eli Stewart and Annika Stewart.  She absolutely adored her four great grandchildren, Griffin, Cohen, Ollie and Jordy.

A private family service will take place at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot.
Interment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in rural Mandan.
Public Memorial booksigning and visitation : March 26th, 10am-12pm at Bethany Lutheran Church.

The family would like to express our thanks to the staff at Somerset Court and Dr. Samir Turk for their loving care and support given to our Mom. Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot.
