Steven M. McIntyre, 52, Pahrump, NV and Minot, formerly of Aberdeen, SD died Saturday, January 5, 2013, in Minot, ND. He suffered a heart attack while at his job at Badlands Trucking.

Steve McIntyre was born January 29, 1960, to Lynda Fergen. He attended Aberdeen Central High School. Steve spent most of his life on the road driving semi or selling cars. He spent many years working with lifelong friend, Fred Ludwig, and also worked at Jobbers Moving and Storage in Aberdeen. About 20 years ago, Steve moved to Nevada working with car sales and driving semi. The past 2 years he had been working in North Dakota and commuting to Pahrump taking care of his family.

Steve found the love of his life Kacey and her daughter Skye in Nevada and together Steve and Kacey had Hollye the joy in Steve's heart. Steve and Kacey's wedding had been planned for this spring. Steve was such a good dad and also took extra care in looking over his mom, Lynda.

He loved auctions and meeting people. He had an amazing smile and gave great hugs. He always carried with him the location and times of AA and NA meetings. His sobriety and recovery was a cherished part of his life and he was always willing to help others with their recovery.

Surviving Steve is his fianc of 11 years, Kacey Brunson: daughters, Hollye McIntyre and Skye Branson of Pahrump; mother, Lynda Fergen of Mitchell, SD; father, Gary (Elaine) Fergen of Palmer, AK. sisters, Kathy (Bruce) Boschee of Aberdeen; Teri Davie (Marvin Wells) of Marion, SD; brothers, Brian (Erin) Fergen of Sartell MN and Dan (Jennifer) Baker of Parker, CO; nieces, Nicole Penniston, Kate and Bridget Fergen; nephews, Justin Davie, Myles Brawner, Chris Wells and Aden Boschee; aunt, Maureen Jund and uncle, Hal McIntyre.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hal and Dorothy McIntyre and uncle, Kevin McIntyre.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 1pm - 4pm at the Bob Ruud Community Center, Pahrump NV.
A memorial service is being planned for late February 2013 in Aberdeen, SD.
