Steve Allen Burnside, 64, Minot and formerly of Kenmare died on Saturday, December 3, 2011 in a Minot hospital from an apparent aneurysm.

Steve married Joan Schwartz on June 30, 1968 in Kenmare. Following Steve's graduation from NDSU, they moved to Minot where he was employed at St. Joseph's/UniMed Hospital for twenty-seven years; eventually, becoming the Director of Pharmacy. Following his retirement, he pursued his true passion by establishing the Natural Health Shoppe in Minot where he counseled clients on natural alternatives for their health.

Steve was a member of First Lutheran Church. His passions included hunting, fishing, bridge, cards, crossword puzzles and all aspects of long term health.

Steve's loving family includes his wife of 43 years Joan; daughters: Rebecca Mary Burnside of San Francisco, CA and Tammera Logan of Oceanside, CA; sisters: Debra (Mark) Zwicker of Mountain Home, AR and Sandra Folkert of Alexandria, MN; father-in-law: Otis Schwartz of Garrison, ND and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Mary Burnside; mother-in-law, Barbara Schwartz; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Folkert.

Celebration of Steve's Life: Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in First Lutheran Church - Minot
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens - Fargo and at the Garrison Dam Tailrace.
Booksigning: Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home- Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army, Red Cross or Minot Area Flood Recovery Fund all Minot.
