Stella Marie Taylor, 83, Pine Island, MN, formerly of Minot, ND, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island.
Stella was born June 6, 1929 in Walhalla, North Dakota the daughter of Alphonse and Mary (LaRoque) Gladue. She was raised and educated at Walhalla and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1948.
Stella worked at Gamble Robinson in Grand Forks, ND, as a bookkeeper, where she met Therman (Bud) Taylor. They were married on February 6, 1954 in Sisseton, SD. They moved later that year to Minot, where they made their home throughout the years. Stella was a homemaker and later worked as an election judge for Ward County. Bud died October 17, 1994.
Stella was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was an avid gardener, baker, great cook and seamstress. She enjoyed traveling to see her children and grandchildren when she could. Stella moved to Rochester, Minnesota in 1999 due to health reasons.
Stella's loving family includes : her Children, Marcia (Rollie) Harvey, Livingston, CA, Thomas (Gwyn) Taylor, Henderson, NV, Barbara (Kevin) Schepp, Rochester, MN, Tamara (Eric) Heck, Newport Richey, FL; Goddaughter, Candy (Keith) Seney, Minot; Sisters, Jean (Dale) Grubb, Wenatchee, WA, Ramona Danielson, Grand Forks, ND, Marlene (James) Burckhard, Grand Forks, ND; Ten Grandchildren and Nine Great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.

Funeral service: Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation : Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
