Stanley "Punky" Peter Carlsten Jr., age 72, Minot, formerly of Minneapolis died Friday, April 13, 2018 at his home.

Stan was born December 21, 1945 in Minot, North Dakota the son of Stanley Carlsten, Sr. and Ethel (Herda) Hatchard. He was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1963. He moved to Minneapolis, where he attained his real estate license and sold real estate for a number of years. He returned to Minot in 1981 and worked in sales at various places including Don Bessette Motors and most recently with Conlins Furniture. He retired in 2017.

Punky as he was affectionately known, enjoyed Bingo and traveling to various Casinos.

His loving family includes , children, Jason (Denise) Carlsten, Mankato, MN; Lori (Troy) Fisher, Minot, Lynne (Randy) Sadergaski, Watertown, SD and Michael Carlsten, Minot; grandchildren Miranda Ackerman, Ryan Carlsten, Ashley Fisher, Zachary Carlsten, James Jackson, Bridget Carlsten and Jacob Carlsten; sister, Kimberly (Randy) Hoff, Cambridge, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Carlsten.

Funeral service : Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: First Lutheran Church Cemetery, Minot.
Visitation : Friday, April 20th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
