Shirley (Newman) Pfau , 89, Phoenix, AZ formerly of Minot, passed away May 29, 2022 in an assisted living facility.

Shirley was born in Minot, North Dakota July 21 ^st , 1932 to Elmer and Annie (Holmes) Newman.  Shirley grew up and attended school in Minot.  She married Lavern Pfau on October 21 ^st , 1951.

Shirley and Lavern had three children and they spent a lot of time with close family and friends. Shirley enjoyed baking and playing cards and marbles.  She greatly enjoyed taking car rides to view the local wildlife.

Shirley is survived by her children, Richard (Becky) Pfau, Fargo, ND, Terry (Nancy) Pfau, Phoenix, AZ, and Karla (Chuck) Buschke, Meadview, AZ; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and brother Dennis (Janice) Newman of Phoenix, AZ along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Annie Newman, husband Lavern Pfau, brothers Kenneth Newman, Maynard Newman, Lester Newman and sisters Adeline Schlag and Betty Pierce.

Service to honor Shirley Newman Pfau: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at First Lutheran Church in Rugby, ND.
Interment: Persilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby, ND
