Shirley Ann Peterson, 84, Minot, died Saturday, June 6, 2026, in a Minot nursing home.

Shirley was born October 31, 1941, in Rugby, North Dakota, the daughter of Rochus and Francis (Engelhardt) Dosch. She was raised and educated in Towner, ND where she graduated high school.

Shirley was united in marriage to Thomas Peterson. They made their home in Minot where she was employed at Strata Corporation as an administrative assistant for over twenty-five years. Tom died April 22, 2011. She continued to reside in Minot.

Shirley was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Minot. Her faith was eminent as she spent time in prayer each day.

Shirley enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. She always looked forward to seeing her great-grandsons. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Shirley’s loving family includes her son Dennis (Theresa) Berg, granddaughter Megan (Brian) Miller, grandson Tyler Berg, great-grandsons Beau Welty, Mason Miller and Gus Miller, siblings Sharon (Philip) Bohl, Sandy (Dave) Llewellyn, Dean Dosch and Randy (Connie) Dosch along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, brother Jeff Dosch and sister-in-law Julie Dosch.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Minot. To view a livestream of the service access https://www.anchoredminot.com/watch
Interment: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10th, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.
Visitation: Wednesday, one hour prior to the service in the church.
Memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Minot.
