Shirley Fettig , 81, of Minot, ND passed away, Thursday, April 6, 2023, in a Minot nursing home.

Shirley was born on October 30, 1941, in St. John, ND to Palmer and Vern (Sager) Danielson. Shirley graduated from St. John High School and worked at Welander's John Deere dealership.

She was united in marriage to Leonard Fettig, on September 6. 1968, in Rolla, ND where they made their home until 1974, when they moved to Minot to be closer to Leonard's work. Shirley enjoyed working for many years at Medical Arts Clinic in Minot before retiring. She was hard-working and greatly valued.  Leonard died March 16, 2017.   She moved to Mesa, AZ for a short time but returned to Minot where she felt more at home.

Shirley enjoyed going to morning coffee with Leonard and visiting with friends. She was an active member of the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, where she made many lifelong friends who many became family. Shirley was proud of her faith and her family. She loved music and enjoyed dancing. She would often (with a big smile on her face) grab whoever was near to join her in dancing, no matter where she was!

Shirley is survived by: her loving family, which includes her sister: Loie Ryyth of Mesa, AZ; brothers: Morris (Laurie) Danielson of Safford, AZ and Myron (Diane) Danielson of Stephen, MN along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by : her husband, Leonard; her parents, Palmer and Vern Danielson; in-laws: John and Lena Fettig; sisters: Joyce (Bernard) Hileman and Doreen (Les) Dunlop; and brother, Larry (Florence) Danielson.

The family would like to thank all of Shirley's Minot family and friends for the love, care and friendship they provided her throughout the years.

Visitation: Thursday, April 20th from 3-5pm at Thomas Family Funeral Home in Minot, ND.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
