Shirley Ann Boucher, 73, Minot, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in a Minot nursing home.
Shirley was born April 3, 1936 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Pearson) Flammang. She was raised and educated in Minot and attended St. Leo's High School before the family moved to rural Berthold. She graduated from Des Lacs High School in 1954 and furthered her education at Minot Business College for one year.
Shirley was employed at Motor Service Company in Minot as a secretary for two years, prior to her marriage to John "Jack" Boucher on June 15, 1957 at Berthold. Following their marriage, they lived at Fargo, while he finished college at NDSU. While living in Fargo, she was employed at Merchants Bank and NDSU. They lived in Seattle, WA for a short time, as well as Garrison, Missouri and Montana. Most of their years, they have lived in Minot, where along with raising their seven children, she was a part time employee of the American Greeting Card Company distributing cards to local businesses. They had wintered in Florida for several years.
Shirley was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was active with the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Church Circle, Lady of Fatima Rosary Group and did volunteer work at Trinity Nursing Home. She also had volunteered at Bishop Ryan High School for a number of activities and was recognized by the school with their "R" Award for distinguished service in 1992.
She enjoyed crafting, sewing, reading, cooking and baking, along with spending time in her flower garden and traveling.
Her loving family includes : husband of fifty-two years, John "Jack" ; children, Julie (Craig) Lawson, Glasgow, MT, Jeffrey Boucher, Charlotte, NC, Jon (Joan) Boucher, Colstrip, MT, James (Colleen) Boucher, Aurora, CO, Jordan (Katie) Boucher, Broomfield, CO, Janelle (Greg) Pochardt, West Fargo, ND and Jeanine (Jonathan) Rundquist, Aurora, CO; grandchildren: Matthew & Jesse Lawson, Conner & Evan Boucher, Ashlee & Tyler Boucher, Ryan & Reagan Boucher, Isabelle & Jordan Boucher, Jr., Hannah & Noah Rundquist; sister, Delores (Darrell) Sundsbak, Minot, brother, Wesley (Elaine) Flammang, Puyallup, WA, sister by choice, Gladys Weeks, Minot, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, and a nephew Shane Flammang.

Thursday from noon-4:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home and Thursday from 5-7:00pm. in the Church.
Memorials
are preferred to Minot Catholic Schools Foundation, Second Story, ND Alzheimer's Association or an organization of the donor's choice.
