Cheryll "Sherry" Kay Markle , 64, Minot, died Saturday, March 7, 2020 at her home.

Sherry was born September 25, 1955 at Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Darrell and Joanne (Zietlow) Markle. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1973.

Sherry had suffered from rheumatoid arthritis since she was 8 years old.  She was especially proud when she was able to walk across the stage at her high school graduation.  Sherry had been employed during her working years as an Optical Assistant for Dr. Burton Olson's Optometric practice in Minot.

Sherry was once married to Jeff Dittus.  In 1983, her son Gabe was born. He was everything to her and he became her biggest helper in her care throughout the years. Sherry loved listening to all kinds of music. She loved to attend concerts throughout the years.

Sherry is survived by her son, Gabe (Chelsie) Markle, Minot; granddaughter, Lindley; mother, Joanne Markle, Velva; brother, Dan Jacobson, Fargo; sisters, Shelly Pross, Minot and Deanne Markle, Minot; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Darrell, brother, Stu Markle; a niece, Ashley Pross and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life service: Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, later in the spring of 2020.
Visitation: There will not be a viewing, however friends may sign a memorial register book on Friday, March 13 ^th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.
