Sheila Blessum , 62, Minot, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 in a Minot hospital.

Sheila was born July 12, 1952, the first of twin daughters, to Arlene (Olson) and Edward Dionne. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating with the Minot High School Class of 1970. Sheila spent her younger years employed with her sister at the A & W Drive-In on South Broadway.

Sheila was joined in marriage to David Blessum on October 9, 1971, in Minot, where they would make their home. She operated a home day care prior to working as a convenience clerk for a number of service stations in Minot.

David passed away in January 1995. Later that year she joined the staff of Hertz Rent-A-Car at the Minot airport, working as the office manager. Sheila was known for her baking ability around the office for the next 17 years when she would offer "treat Friday" to co-workers who stopped to visit.

She enjoyed bowling in a league with her sister and friends. Meals were rarely ordered out as she was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed camping and fishing and was known to sew a bit in her day. She will be missed for all of the qualities that made her a devoted wife, loving mother and a precious grandmother.

Sheila is survived by her children, Mike (Cherie) Blessum and Mindy (Michael) Zepeda, both of Minot; grandchildren, Rachel and Jay Blessum and Maya, Maria and Michael Zepeda Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband David; mother and stepfather Arlene and Cipriano Sauceda; sisters Sharon Yuly and Diane Nutter; and brother Robert Dionne.

Funeral service : 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment : Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation : Monday, May 18, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
