Shawn Rodney Arnold, 47, Minot, formerly of Sawyer, died Sunday, November 26, 2017 in Minot.

Shawn was born December 9, 1969 in Minot, North Dakota the son of Rodney and Renee (Christensen) Arnold. He was raised and educated at Sawyer and graduated from Sawyer High School in 1988. He was active in a number of athletic activities throughout his high school years.

Shawn was united in marriage to the love of his life, Michelle Grueneberg on October 17, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Minot with their puppies. Throughout the years he was employed with Capital RV as the service manager and currently with Westlie Motors in sales.

Shawn was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. He enjoyed camping and long nights by the fire. He was an avid sports fan and the New York Giants #1 fan. He loved watching the NDSU Bison. He was a true Parrot Head and loved Jimmy Buffett. He attended every concert he could in Las Vegas. He adored all of his nieces and nephews.

Shawn will be remembered for his kind soul. He was always the first to help and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. His kind heart touched so many.

Shawn's loving family includes , wife, Michelle Arnold of Minot, parents, Rodney and Renee Arnold, Sawyer; sister, Heidi (Jim) Fisher, of Minot; step-son, Eric Thoemke, Minot; mother in law, Nancy (Reg) Parker, Minot, father in law, James Grueneberg, Minot, sister in law, Melissa (Jon) Van Deventer, Minot, brother in law, Michael (Laura) Grueneberg, Marietta, Ohio, and nieces and nephews; Brett, Abby, Hanna, Logan, Carson, Maddie, all of Minot, Marcus, Lucas, Mikhal, Matthias, all of Marietta, Ohio and his puppies, Jerzee, JAX, and Vegas.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents: Oscar & Crystal Arnold and Joseph and Eleatha Christensen, and his uncles: Donovan Arnold, Merle Krugman & Alvin Christensen.

Funeral service: Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Thursday, November 30th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
