Sharon Ann Palmer, 81, died peacefully on October 19, 2023, surrounded by loved ones in a Bismarck care facility.

Sharon was born August 29th, 1942 in Bottineau, ND to Allen and Loretta (Getzlaff) Forbes. She was raised and educated in Willow Creek County School until she moved to Upham High School, where she graduated in 1960. After graduating, she went on to attend the ND State School of Forestry and earned an associate's degree in business.

On August 16, 1963, she married Richard Palmer at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Upham, ND.  The couple would make Minot their home and raise three children there.  During this time, Sharon was employed by Job Service of North Dakota as a customer service specialist from August 1965 until her retirement in 2008.  Her beloved Richard died on January 17, 2006.

Sharon enjoyed many things in her life.  When her daughters were young, she enjoyed taking them to numerous baton twirling contests in North Dakota, Canada, and nationals at Notre Dame. Sharon loved listening to her children's music and spent many hours attending their concerts in band, jazz band, and choir.  Her hobbies included gardening, decorating her home, and playing cards.

Sharon was a beautiful person inside and out and loved shopping and all things beautiful.  She loved spending time with family, especially her grandkids, whom she loved very much. Volunteering was also a large part of her life, and she spent many hours volunteering with her church and with the Magic City Lions.  She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Minot and was a past member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Minot.
