Obituary

Sharon Lewis, 56, Minot, died Thursday, September 25, 2014, in her home.

Sharon was born February 16, 1958, to Nick and Teresa (Brossart) Fritel. She spent her childhood days in the Knox and Rugby area, graduating from Rugby High School.

As a junior in high school she began her career in construction with Hulstrand Construction. Sharon began working full time after high school with Hulstrand working and living in various communities throughout North Dakota.

In 1986, Sharon settled in Minot. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Lewis on March 26, 1990. Sharon and her best friend and husband, Dale, made their home on the 'Little Bitty Ranch' on the outskirts of Minot. Together, they enjoyed a variety of activities that often included the outdoors, with hunting and fishing topping the list. Time off was often spent at their lake cabin and the daily routine of caring for their horses at the ranch.

She continued working for Hulstrand until 1999, and over the years held positions with ICS, KGM, Holen Construction. She was currently working with Park Construction.

Dale passed away July 19, 2010.

Sharon was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. She enjoyed baking, gardening, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. She will be missed by all who shared in her life.

Sharon's loving family includes her sisters, Charlotte Pollestad, Devils Lake, ND, Dianne (Bruce) Frueh, Walcott, ND, Lynelle (Brian) Socha, Boise, ID and Linda (Kory) Jorgenson, Rugby, ND; brothers, Melvin Fritel and Ken Fritel, both of Minot, ND, Leon Fritel and Kevin (Carol) Fritel, both of Rugby, ND; step children, Roderick (Juanita) Lewis, San Antonio, TX, Brian (Christy) Lewis, Rockwall, TX, Barry (Heidi) Lewis, Norborne, MO and Rita Feltman, Drayton, ND; grandchildren, Becka, Kyle, Chelsea, Cory, Terri, Amanda, Chassity, Justin, Tiffany, Antonio, Bailey, Garrett and Kylie and numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, infant step-daughter, Denise Lewis and nephew, Christopher Socha.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014, at St. Leo's Leo's Catholic Church.
Vigil Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND
Visitation: Thursday, October 2, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Hospice or organization of donor's choice.
