IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon "Sheri"
A Andersen
January 16, 2007
Sharon "Sheri" A. Andersen, 63 , 315 7th St. NW, Minot, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007, in a Minneapolis hospital.
Sharon Yuly was born February 4, 1943, in Minot, ND, to Walter and Ruth (Dickinson) Yuly. She was raised on the family farm, located six miles west of Ruthville, ND. Sheri graduated from Minot Model High School in 1961. She attended college in Grand Forks, at the University of North Dakota.
Sharon was once united in marriage to Marlin Sande in 1963. They made their home in Seattle, WA and their union was blessed with a daughter, Brenda. In 1972, she returned home to Minot. Sharon was once married to Frederick Andersen and this union was blessed with three children, Debbie, Mike, and Greg. She continued to make her home in Minot, completing Joseph's School of Hair Design in 1974. Sheri began her employment with Artistry of Minot in August 1984, as a hairstylist. She worked for the next twenty-three years, not only as a hairstylist to her clients, but also a friend to all who shared in her life. Sheri was dedicated to her work and was a recipient of the Eagle Award, for going above and beyond the call of duty in her profession on April 13, 2004.
In 1991, Sheri met Lyle Torno. They began a friendship that would later grow to a love and would spend the next fifteen years together, dancing, enjoying life, and growing together with family.
Sharon was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ, Minot.
Sheri loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed the outdoors, spending summers the last 10 years at her lake cabin on Strawberry Lake, enjoying pontoon rides with Lyle, and spending time with family and many friends. Sheri was a great cook and when coupled with her skills for entertaining, all attendees had no other choice but to have a good time. She shared an interest in antiques and was always ready for a game of Bingo at the " Kooler " on Strawberry Lake. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life.
