Shari Northrop , 62, Parshall, ND died Saturday, June 16, 2018 in a Garrison Nursing Home.

Shari Rhea Northrop was born October 26, 1955, to Paul and LuVerne (Hambek) Northrop in Portsmouth, VA. She grew up in Minot and the surrounding area, receiving her education in Eureka Township at the 'little red schoolhouse' and at Minot Public Schools.

Shari returned to Minot in the late 1980's after living out of state for several years and had resided in Parshall, ND for the past twenty years of her life.

Shari worked various jobs through the years as a CNA and most recently at the Tasty Treats in Parshall.

Shari had a creative nature and a special way with plants, flowers, crafts and her beloved pets. She was an avid writer with meticulous penmanship. Shari journaled and wrote many poems. She was a lover of music and would occasionally pick up a guitar, where she would strum and sing a tune. She will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to share in her life.

Shari is survived by her sisters, Rhonda (Kent) Hartlieb, Valerie (Mike) Spaulding and Jodi (Tim) LaHaise; brother, Eric (Megan) Borud, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts, Ann and Sally Hambek and Jacky Smith.

Shari was preceded in death by her parents, LuVerne and Jerry Borud; brother, Brad Borud, nephew, Paul Dalen and her companion, Russell Everett.

Celebration of Shari's Life: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home of Minot.
Interment: Rolling Green Cemetery, Des Lacs, ND.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the funeral service at the funeral home.
