Shanna Michelle Arlt Schafer Murray, 34, Mobridge SD and formerly of Minot died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in a Bismarck hospital from natural causes.

Shanna was born on March 31, 1977 in Minot to Allyson Arlt and was adopted in 1984 by Richard Schafer. She was raised and educated in rural Minot and as a young adult resided in various places including but not limited to Westport WA and Mobridge SD. She was married to James Murray and her number one passion was her daughter Nevaeh who was born on June 14, 2006.

Shanna attended Cornerstone Community Church in Mobridge and she especially enjoyed social networking via facebook with her friends.

Shanna is survived by her husband; daughter; several stepchildren; mother: Allyson Arlt and father: Richard Schafer both of Minot; sister: Kristi Schafer of Nevada; grandparents: Faye and Ernest Arlt and Leo and Geraldine Schafer all of Minot; aunts and uncles: Jeffery Arlt of Nevada, Carla and Ben Brown of Minot, Shelby and Keith Semerad of Nevada, Karen and Maynard Mahlen of Montana, Alan and Debbie Schafer of Minot, Bonnie and Wesley Thomas of Minot, Barb and Cecil Osterlund of Garrison, Larry and Tami Schafer of Minot and numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

Shanna was preceded in death by her infant twin sister Shannan, grandmother Erna Schafer and biological father.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in First Assembly of God Minot.

Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park Minot.

Visitation: Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
