Scott Strilcov, 54, Minot, gained his angel wings on Sunday, February 28, 2021 while at his home surrounded by his loving family after a very short battle with stomach cancer.

Scott Jay was born March 28, 1966 in Minot to Walter and Sharon (Schoenwald) Strilcov. He grew up on the family farm in Max. Scott attended Max Public School graduating in 1984. While growing up, he was active in the Rocky Acres 4-H Club, participating in crop judging, showing cattle and woodworking.

Scott was very involved throughout his years with the Max Rodeo Association. In Scott's final few weeks, he was presented with a belt buckle from the Max Rodeo Association -- honored for his hard work and dedication throughout the years. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

After graduation, Scott attended Auctioneer School in Bismarck, ND. Once finished with schooling, he moved to Minot in 1998. Scott's career life began with Neshem Harvesting. Later, Scott worked with Flexicoil for many years as well as joining the booming oil field business working with Key Energy. Scott established his accomplished and final career with Titan Machinery in 2010 which he continued until his death.

Scott met Charity Jesz while throwing darts in Max. This was a match set up by their friends that ended up as a perfectly successful 'bulls eye' as they were married on June 8, 2007 at Our Savior Lutheran Church of Max.

Scott enjoyed many past times throughout his life including deer hunting, trapping muskrat, and throwing darts. He had a passion for NASCAR, collecting many Dale Jr diecast cars. He was also an accomplished fisherman, even winning the Governor's Cup in 2007 along with his fishing partner, Nate Anderson. Scott loved spending time with his family whether it was playing board games, camping outings, enjoying the
holidays, planning a reunion, sharing stories and simply creating memories. At family gatherings, a highlight was any of Scotts creations made with his Traeger grill -- the best pulled pork ever (sorry Shawn). The most treasured past times were spent with his son, Teagan. They loved hunting and fishing together, working on 4-H projects, sharing cooking skills and just hanging out. Teagan was the apple of Scott's eye.

Scott is survived by wife Charity, Minot; son, Teagan, Minot; mother, Sharon Strilcov, Bismarck; brothers, Wade (Shannon) Strilcov, Minot and Shawn (Misty) Strilcov, Mandan; sisters, Vonda (Ken) Walter, Bismarck and Katrina (Tom) Hetletvedt, Jamestown; nieces and nephews, Wyatt Strilcov, LaShae Berg, Dalton Strilcov, Keaton Meissel, Brooke Walter, Katie Walter, Jaycee Walter, Jared Walter, Jillian Strilcov, Cambry Fyllesvold, Journey Strilcov, Kathryn Hetletvedt, Thomas Hetletvedt, Leah Hetletvedt, Isaac Jesz, Daniel Jesz, Ethan Jesz CJ Jesz and Moana Wanner; in-laws, Sandy (Dennis) Marske, Andover, SD, Orrie (Sarah) Jesz, Aberdeen, SD, Shannon Jesz, Aberdeen, SD, Penny (Kyle) Ammann, Aberdeen, SD, Allen (Belle) Wanner, Manhattan, KS, grandmother-in-law Betty Voth, Minot, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
