Loving husband, father, brother and friend , S. Mylo Lindgren of Seattle, Washington, died peacefully on March 25, 2013.

He was born in Minot, North Dakota on June 14, 1919 to Swan Magnus Lindgren and Mabel Claudiana Johnson Lindgren, where he was one of seven children. Mylo graduated from Minot Senior High School in 1937. He worked for the Civil Service in Washington D.C. before entering the army at the outbreak of WWII. He served at Camp Wheeler, Georgia for three years, then attended Signal Corps OCS and was assigned as a 2nd Lt. to the Signal Training Center at Camp Crowder, MO. He was discharged with the rank of 1st Lt.

In the fall of 1945, Mylo was home on leave to go pheasant hunting and he met the love of his life, Jean D. Boden. They were married on September 8, 1946 and moved to Seattle, where they each attended the University of Washington. Mylo graduated in 1947 with an accounting degree, became a CPA in 1948 and joined Boeing as an internal auditor. Later he set up the Boeing Corporate tax office. He remained a tax executive until retirement in 1981.

Mylo\'s interests and activities included: serving as president of the Boeing Employees Credit Union; president of the Certified Public Accountants Toastmasters organization; president of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity and president of the Wedgwood Community Club. Mylo was active in local politics and served as a delegate to various King County and Washington GOP conventions.

Mylo is survived by his sister, Doris Mae Bailey; his daughters, Nancy (Charlie) Hartness and Laurie (Rob) Duyker; son, John Lindgren; daughters Sara (Ty) Graham and Katie (Ron) Robertson; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mylo was preceded in death by his 5 sisters, his wife Jean and one granddaughter.

Mylo will be remembered for his love of family, enthusiasm for bridge, music, gardening, woodworking, photography, various collections and his mastery of making fruit leather and applesauce. We miss him.

Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, friends may sign the register book on May 15, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
A Memorial Service was held May 8, 2013 at Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in Seattle, WA.
