Obituary

Ryan Fontaine, 30, Minot, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in his home.

Service: (Due to the Covid-19 restrictions) a Private Family Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Minot. ** A livestream of the service can be accessed by going to www.ecominot.org

Ryan Stuart Fontaine , 30, Minot, died unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

Ryan was born May 17, 1989 at Grafton, North Dakota, the son of Stuart and Karla (Kabanuk) Fontaine. He was raised in Minot and Williston and graduated from Williston High School in 2008. He returned to Minot that same year and was employed with Trinity Homes as a CNA.

Ryan was baptized at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Minot and confirmed at Gloria Dei Church in Williston. He enjoyed fishing, skateboarding and loved animals. He especially enjoyed nurturing sick and abandoned animals back to health while trying to find new homes for them. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help a person in need. These, as well as other qualities are the reason he made friends easily.

His loving family includes : father, Stuart Fontaine, Minot; mother, Karla Haugenoe, Minot; grandmothers, Fern Kabanuk, Mesa, AZ and Cheryl Haugenoe, Williston, ND; step-dad, Randy Haugenoe, Williston; step-brother, Brandon Haugenoe and his fiancé, Danielle Longtin, Williston, ND; step-sister, Karla (Victor) Omotoye, Fargo, ND; his dog, Shelby; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lynn and Mideyn Fontaine; Raymond Kabanuk and Earl Haugenoe.

A celebration of Life service will take place later this summer for the public.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: A Private Visitation by Invitation will be held on Monday, April 13 th .
Memorials: In lieu of flowers or plants, the family prefers memorials.
