Ruth L. Zook, 88, Eugene, Oregon and formerly of Surrey, passed away April 10, 2012 of a pulmonary embolism.

Ruth was born August 7, 1923 in Surrey, North Dakota, to George and Irene Luchsinger.

She married Gene R. Zook on April 7, 1944. He passed away on April 28, 1985. Even though they moved to Oregon in 1964, Surrey was always her home.

Ruth graduated from Surrey High School, and went into Nurses Training in Minot. She then became a farm wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved great-grandmother.

Survivors include son, Mark, daughter, Rebecca, both of Eugene, Oregon; granddaughter, Bethany; great grandchildren, Jacob and Aleah Calhoon, all of Eugene, sister, Dorothy Reichenberger of Surrey.

A private Graveside service was held Friday, May 18th in the Surrey Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
