Ruth R. Stebbins, 98, Minot, formerly of Velva, died Monday, May 27, 2013 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Ruth Rennetta (Bearman) Stebbins was born in Lisbon, ND on Nov. 8, 1914 to Benjamin and Sadie (Storhaug) Bearman. In 1918, the family moved to Velva, ND where she was raised and attended schools.

She married Reginald Stebbins in 1933 and they made their home in Underwood, ND where they raised their four children Mel, Charlotte, Charlene and Milton. Ruth moved to California in 1960, where she worked as a practical nurse, and was active in her church teaching Sunday School.

Ruth retired in 1990, and returned to North Dakota and made her home in Minot. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church.

All of her children preceded her in death, as did two of her brothers, Donald and Ralph, four sisters, Evelyn Bearman, Myrtle Legg, Vivian Buscko, Dorothy Nelson, two sisters in law, Betty and Maureen Bearman.

Ruth is survived by:Three brothers Dale, Glen, and Virgil Bearman, all whom reside in California, one sister in law, Cleone Bearman, Minot, and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Ruth was an Angel among us.

Funeral service: Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Velva Community Cemetery, Velva.
Visitation: Thursday, May 30th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the organization of the donor's choice.
