Ruby Ann Anderson, 92, Minot, formerly of Wilton, died Thursday, July 25, 2019 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Ruby was born July 20, 1927 in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Kierland) Anderson. She grew up on the family farm and attended country schools and received her high school classes by correspondence from Fargo.

Ruby was employed at a Bismarck Hospital in housekeeping for 2 years and moved to Minot for a time, where she was employed with Trinity Hospital in the laundry department for 4 years. She returned to Bismarck to care for a widow for several years. She then moved to Wilton to care for her parents and lived there from 1977 until 1984. After their death, she remained in Wilton until 2010, when she moved to Minot to be nearer her sister and brother in law.

Ruby was always active in church. She was a baptized and confirmed member of Sunne Lutheran Church, rural Wilton. She was especially interested in the evangelical revival type church and became a 'born again" Christian. She was active in bible studies all of her life. She also enjoyed doing genealogy, classes, reading and listening to the news. She had a fabulous memory for dates, people, relationships and was as conservative as her parents and grandparents.

Her loving family includes: sister, Norma (Dan) Baranick of Minot; niece, Kristine (Bill) Elliott, Indianapolis, IN; nephew, Kelly (Sandra) Baranick, Woodbury, MN; along with several cousins.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Beva Mae.

Funeral service: Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Sunne Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wilton. Interment: Regan Cemetery, Regan, ND
Visitation: One hour prior to the service in the Church on Wednesday.
Memorials: preferred to the Salvation Army, Anne Carlsen Crippled Children's Fund, Jamestown or Wilton Senior Citizens.
