Roy Williamson, 79, rural Minot died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in a Minot healthcare center.

Roy was born on September 11, 1934 in New Underwood, South Dakota to Roy Sr. and Nora (Schoonmaker) Williamson. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956.

Roy married Delores Klein on December 27 1963 in Fort Scott, KS. They had made their home in the Pacific Northwest area of the U.S. and he was employed as an aircraft mechanic prior to his retirement in1995 and moved to Minot in 2005.

Roy is survived by his wife Delores; children: William Degele of Velva, Cheryl Kirkland of Red Bluff AR, Betty Schadegg of Kimball NE, Michael Williamson of Avenal CA, Debbie Anderson of rural Minot, Kelly Williamson of Box Elder SD, Thom Smith of Spanaway WA and Lenden Williamson of Litchfield Park AZ; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother: Robert Williamson of Seattle WA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Roy's life will be in the summer of 2014 at the family residence.
