Rosemarie Irene Malchose, 66, Minot, ND, died Wednesday, Feb 7th, 2007 at Minot Trinity Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Rosemarie was born February 7, 1941, on the farm in Fillmore, ND to Johnny and Marie (Meyer) Piatz. She attended Towner High School and graduated in 1960. Rosemarie was a beautician for many years and touched the lives of all she knew in many special ways. One example was helping a cancer patient and family friend by organizing fundraisers throughout North Central ND and raised enough for this young mother to survive cancer. Rosemarie retired as a hairdresser in 2001.

Rosemarie was formerly married to Roger Vedquam, and they had 3 children together. She later married Kenneth Malchose on October 29, 1983 in Bottineau, ND and have resided together in Minot ever since.

Rosemarie loved working in the garden, spending time at the lake with her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, always had a positive attitude, and had the biggest heart of anyone we know. If you knew Rosemarie, you were blessed.

Rosemarie was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the North Dakota State Board of Cosmetology.

Rosemarie is survived by her husband, Ken, Minot; son Scott (Sheila), their children, Andrew and Megan, West Fargo, ND; daughters, Christie (Tim), their children, Katie, Wyatt and Laramie, Minot, ND; and Heather (Bret), their children, Brandon, Tyler and Austin, Fairbanks, AK; father, Johnny Piatz, Towner, ND; sister, Joan Nord, Prior Lake, MN; brothers, John (Barb), Minot, ND; Larry (Nydia), Towner, ND; and David, Onamia, MN.

Rosemarie is preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral Service: Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot;
Prayer Service: Sunday at 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot;
Interment: St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Towner, ND, to be held in the spring of 2007;
Visitation: Sunday from 2:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
