Rose Patricia Trondson, 76, of Donnybrook, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 on arrival at a Minot hospital.
Rose was born on April 11, 1936 in Minot to Louie and Millie (Berget) Perlichek. She was reared and educated in Burlington and also attended school in Minot. Rose was very athletic and active in sports, and played on a softball team, during her high school years, that became State Champions. While in high school, she worked in the coal mines with her father and at Howdy\'s Caf in Burlington where she met Willie.
Rose, known as Rosie to her friends and family, married Willie Trondson on June 30, 1961 at the Minot Air Force Base Chapel. They made their home at various air force bases around the world prior to Willie's retirement from the U.S. Air Force. In 1971 they returned to North Dakota and settled in Donnybrook in 1973. While raising her children, Rosie was employed at D.J.'s Bar in Donnybrook and the Vet's Club in Kenmare. Rosie continued to reside in Donnybrook following the death of her husband on May 10, 2002.
Rose was a member of the Donnybrook Methodist Church and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She often listened to books on tape but her favorite past- times were watching old western movies on television and watching birds that flocked to her yard. Rosie enjoyed entertaining and was always prepared for any guest that would stop by to say hello. She knew no strangers and all were welcomed with a friendly greeting and a drink.
