Ron Norcott, 81, Minot died on August 8, 2020 in a Minot hospital.

Ronald Michael Norcott was born on November 14, 1938 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Ronald Leo and Mary Margaret (Walsh) Norcott. He had a challenging childhood prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1956. During his time in Air Force, Ron earned his GED. He received his honorable discharge in 1978 as a Master Sergeant. During his tour of duty he was stationed in Labrador, Vietnam, Minot Air Force Base, Japan, Taiwan and Nellis AFB, Nevada. Following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Ron and his wife Michiko lived in Las Vegas and Ron was employed as a mailman by the United States Postal Service from 1979 until 1998. Following Michiko's death in 1994 and his retirement, Ron moved to Minot, ND where he had since resided.

Ron especially enjoyed playing pool at "The Rack" and participated in many tournaments in Minot and Las Vegas. He loved his country and proudly displayed the American Flag.

Ron is survived by his brother: James (Cathleen) Norcott of Las Vegas; nephews: Heston, Marcus and Leif.  If you were Ron's friend, you were his friend for life.  These special friends included: Janice Cooper, Jake and Michelle Jacobson, Steve and Sue Bovee, Mike and Denise Panucci and Carla Bruns.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Marie Statchopoulos and brother: William Norcott.

Celebration of the Life of Ron Norcott: Sunday, August 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Scandinavian Heritage Park Chapel – 1020 S. Broadway, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Minot Public Schools Lunch Program or the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
