Ronald L. Monson , 75, Minot, died Thursday, September 19, 2024, in a Minot hospital.

Ron came into this world on a cold December morning in 1948 – the 17th day! He was born to Lloyd Ingelo Monson and Margaret Wilhelmina Nickel Monson. He attended grade school in Bottineau, ND for a short time until the family moved to Minot in 1955. He completed his education at Minot State College (MSU). He graduated from Minot Model High School.

Ron had many interests in life with a deep affinity for animals, especially cats! He was married several times, but that is a story for another time! He was an entrepreneur at heart and always ready to go on to the next adventure. He had many jobs, but his true calling was as an in-home caregiver as his last employment retiring earlier this year due to health issues.

Ron is survived by his only brother Michael (Connie) Monson and his nephew Matthew (Arlene) Monson and a niece Amy Monson Jennings (Wilbur) and their children, Bryce Edwards and Leif and Vivien Jennings. His mom and dad preceded him in death.

Cremation has taken place. Inurnment and graveside service to take place at a later date. Thank you to all who have traveled Ron's final journey with us!
