Ronald Kramer, 74, Minot, formerly of Granville, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 in a Minot nursing home.

Ronald was born April 15, 1943 in Minot, the son of Ralph and Mary (Lueck) Kramer. He was raised and educated in the Denbigh/Towner area.

Ronald worked in the oil industry for a number of years. His true passion was breaking horses. He worked a majority of his life on farms and ranches in the Granville area.

Ronald moved to Minot in the early 1990's. He was employed for a number of years as support staff with KALIX. He also worked as a zookeeper, for the Minot Park District and as a brand inspector.

Ronald enjoyed young horses, a cold drink, country music and his favorite dance partner and companion, Shirley. He will be missed by all who shared in his life.

Ronald's loving family includes his siblings, Randy Kramer, Deering, Arland (Clorinda) Kramer, Granville, and Myla Burkhardsmeier, Fergus Falls, MN; companion of nearly 30 years, Shirley Hendrickson, Minot and her children, Darlene Hesch, Tammy Haggerot, Terry Vetsch and Cheryl Nelson; nephews, Jason (Candace) Kramer, Ralph Kramer, Kevin (Joan) Burkhardsmeier and niece, Kristie (Chris) Gilchrist; and uncles, Lyle Kramer, Denbigh and Mike Sitter, Granville, ND.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Ronald's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Family and friends are invited to sign a memorial register book on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
