Ronald Armstrong, 77, Minot, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in a Minot hospital.

Ronald was born August 14, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois to Roscoe and Dorothy (Russell) Armstrong.  He grew up and completed high school in Illinois.

Ronald enlisted into the US Air Force on August 15, 1960.  He served his country honorably and was discharged on August 14, 1964 from the Minot AFB.

Ronald was united in marriage to Joan Markwardt on December 17, 1967 in Minot.  Following his military career he remained in Minot, where he served as a painter as a member of the civil service for the next thirty years of his life.  He left the civil service in 1995, but continued to work at Medical Arts in the maintenance department and finished his working days with Brinks Armored Car retiring in November 2009.  Joan passed away on January 11, 1995.

Ronald was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minot.  He enjoyed watching many episodes of 'Gunsmoke' and loved frequenting the many eateries in the Minot area.

Ronald was united in marriage to Cynthia Dalton on May 20, 2009.  They lived out their retirement years in Minot where they enjoyed companionship and supported each other unconditionally.

Ronald is survived by his wife Cynthia of Minot; son Nathan (Kisa) Armstrong of Max; four grandchildren, Tyler, Keegan, Carter and Shalyann.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.
