It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Roger J. Kelm, who passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in his residence.

Roger was born January 21, 1974, to Roger and Esther E. (Ortmann) Kelm in Minot, ND.

Roger graduated from Berrien Springs High School in Michigan in 1992, and moved to the Seattle, WA area shortly afterwards.

He worked at several Taco Time restaurants in the Seattle area for many years, and as a data and accounting specialist for classmates.com, making lifelong friends in the process.

Roger married Jessica Johnson on August 12, 2014, at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, NV. Together, they packed a U-Haul truck and headed to Minot, ND because at that time Roger worked for BNSF Railroad as a conductor.

Throughout the years, Roger challenged himself at a variety of employment opportunities at Delta Vacations, Schwan's Home Delivery, and lastly at UND Center for Family Medicine.

He treasured the friendships made over the years and co-workers appreciated his positive and bubbly personality.

Roger loved sports all his life, especially the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls. He attended spring training and many games with his best friend, Chad Rago.

He also had a mind like a steel trap for songs of the '80s, Seinfeld, and loved singing karaoke to Billy Joel songs.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica; stepson, DeShaun; step daughter, Jazzmyne; mother, Esther Jensen; brother, Marvin (Nona) Kassner; sister, Cindy (Bill) Ortmann, and his beloved pets, Bo and Madyn.
