Robie Volk, 50, Minot, died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Minot.

Robie was born September 16, 1970 in Minot, ND to Thomas A. and Dorita K. (Gerle) Volk. He grew up in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1989.

Robie worked as a utility locator for many years. He followed work to Shakopee, MN, Fargo and Minot. He was a long-time employee of ELM and most recently worked for Vannguard Utility Partners. Robie was very dedicated to his work.

Robie enjoyed long drives, nature/trail walks, fishing, cars, and car shows. He especially loved watching football and was a huge New Orleans Saints fan. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. Robie loved to remind his family and friends that he was probably right about pretty much everything, since he had qualified for membership in the high IQ society, Mensa. He had a special smirk and saunter following a victorious debate. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to share in his life.

Robie is survived by his mom, Rita Volk, Minot; sister Jenny (Andrew) McLeod, Lake Crystal, MN; brother Thomas Volk III, Minot; nieces and nephews include Gunner McLeod, Hope McLeod, Kane Red Feather, Arionna Volk, Jeremiah Volk and Anastatia Gunville; sister-in-law Christina Duchaine and special friend Vanessa Duchaine along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Robie was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Volk, Jr.

A private service was held.
