Robert "Bob" Duane Kabanuk, 81, Minot, died Friday, June 12, 2020 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Bob was born May 21, 1939 at Minot, North Dakota, the son of Carl and Helen (Kachenko) Kabanuk. He was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1958. He became employed at Aerial control and Porter O'Brien as a government surveyor at missile sites from 1958 - 1960 based out of Minot. During those two years, he traveled to Montana and Colorado and also worked as a government surveyor at missile sites.

Bob was later employed at Keller Construction in Golden, CO from 1960-1971 as a bricklayer. From 1972 until 2008, he worked for Timm's Moving and Storage as a truck driver and later as warehouse foreman until retiring in 2008. He continued to live in Minot. He entered the Trinity Nursing Home in March of this year.

Bob had attended Immanuel Baptist and First Assembly of God Churches in Minot. He was a former member of the Minot Moose Lodge and Eagles Aerie. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing, along with building birdhouses, dog houses and bird feeders. He maintained beautiful flower beds, grew tomatoes and was blessed with a green thumb.

His loving family includes , sister, Bonnie Kabanuk, Minot; brother in law, Floyd Fouchey, Minot; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, twin-brother, Raymond and his wife Cheryl, brother, James and sister, Jan Fouchey.

Celebration of Life service: Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m.in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
