Robert Wayne Janssen , 63, Minot, formerly of Fessenden, ND died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in his home.

Robert was born November 28, 1956 in Harvey, ND to Donald and Margaret (Zura) Janssen.  He spent his youth in the community of Fessenden where he was an accomplished athlete in high school football and basketball.  He graduated from Fessenden High School in 1975.

Robert was once married to Kristi Seltvedt of Harvey, ND.  This union was blessed with a daughter, Bobbi.  They lived in Fessenden and later Carrington as they followed his job with the Soo Line Railroad, now known as CP Rail.  He spent the latter part of his working years in the construction industry.

Robert was an outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing.  He was a kind soul, who was skilled with his hands and took pride in helping others.  He will be missed by those who shared in his life.

Robert is survived by his daughter Bobbi Jo, Vashon, WA; grandchildren Aidan, Josie and Indigo; mother Margaret Janssen, New Rockford, ND; sister Cheryl Solberg, Fessenden, ND a niece, nephews and former spouse, Kristi Janssen.

Robert was preceded in death by his father and brother Donald Janssen Jr.
