Robert Lee Hurt, 79, Garrison, formerly of Minot, died Sunday, July 11, 2021 in a Garrison nursing home.

Robert was born March 29, 1942 to Mae D. (Hurt) Lyttle in Lewisburg, TN. He was raised and educated in Lewisburg and attended a community college in Chicago for a year. He then enlisted in the US Air Force in October 1959 and honorably served his country for 27 years. He retired as a Master Sergeant in August 1986 and continued to live in Minot.

Robert enjoyed doing martial arts, fishing, hunting, shell reloading, guns and watching westerns.

Robert is survived by his children: Bridgette Hurt, Waldorf, MD, Robert Hurt, Jr., Waldorf, MD, Anise Hurt, William Hurt, and Joseph (Deidra) Hurt, all of Minot and five grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, stepfather, and an infant sister.

Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.   A delayed streaming of the service will be available starting Friday at 4:00 p.m. and can be viewed by accessing https://www.mtmsales.net/thomas
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation: Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
