IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert David
Glasgow
July 6, 1950 – May 5, 2019
Robert David "Dave" Glasgow, 68, Minot died on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in his home after a courageous battle with cancer and with his loving family at his side.
Robert was born on July 6, 1950 in Nashville, TN to Dorothy (Litton) Glasgow. He was raised and educated in Nashville. His mother died when he was four years old and his grandmother, Bobbie Rogers, cared for he and his brother. He attended Howard High School in Nashville prior to enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1968. He was stationed at the Minot Air Force Base.
Robert met and married Susan Brandt in 1972. They were blessed with two children Robert James "Bobby" Glasgow and Melissa Sue Glasgow. Sue passed away. Robert married Gloria McNicholas on August 21, 1999 and he was blessed with three more children: Heather, Christopher and Destiny. He continued his career, working for Wurgler Painting for many years.
Robert was well known in Minot softball circles for teams including Sundowners Lounge, Barley Pop, The Landing, Green Thumb, Sergios and Jim Brandt Auto Repair. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and shared with his son Bobby and grandson Nicholas (with whom he shared a special bond) his love for the great outdoors. Dave loved anything with a motor and was able to work on and fix almost anything. He enjoyed motorcycles and loved riding his Harleys. He joined the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club in June of 2008. The years riding with his club brothers were among his happiest. More than anything Dave was a family man.
Robert's loving family includes his wife Gloria; children: Melissa Glasgow of Antioch, TN; Heather (Michael) Brandt and Christopher Cellmer and Destiny Quinn all of Minot; grandchildren: Nicholas Cellmer, Jacob and Carter Glasgow, Sheldon and Teralynn Brandt; brother: Charles (Marietta) Litton; in-laws: Charles (Kim) McNicholas and Colleen (David) Weros and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother, first wife and son.
